  • I searched several sites -even the droid online blog to get help w/this…iuploading px-.THANK YOU FOR MAKING IT SO PLAIN!!!! Web Techs have much to learn when educating the ‘average joe’ on “How To” stuff..

  • hey wondering if you can help me. when i connect my droid to my laptop it does the sound the sound that shows the computer has recognized it then i mount it to the lap top but nothing pops up. nothings in my computer files either.

  • VERY helpful info and took alot less time checking youtube and the users on here like yourself to explain in (detail) how to use my droid with my computer.

    -thank you!

  • Hey i called verizon and they told me nothing i already didn’t know. then i called motorola, they say that it seems that my motorola droid isn’t compatable with windows 7 on the laptop or something. they said it would be probly updated in the next firmware update. thanks for all the help anyways!

  • Not sure if I can do much more for you at this point. The phone seams to be hung up on the usb. So again I suggest plugging it in and going to it in My Computer to see if its ejected. Just because it wasn’t plugged in doesn’t mean it was ejected properly.
After you eject it look in messages and make sure usb is disabled. Then go to settings and look for usb and see what it says. Hope that helps

  • if i take out the usb how do i turn off usb storage u still never helped me there

  • how do i transfer my music from my computer to my droid eris? i downloaded the HTC syn update but? i can’t sync? or transfer music because it kept saying “disconnected on the sync page?? any ideas? thx

  • can you not send it to your photobucket brah? idk im askin.

  • thanks buddy !!

  • why is this such a headache to do…i thought this was supposed to be the best phone out there…it’s impossible to get pics onto my pc without taking off the batter cover and fishing out the sd card…very disappointed in the way droid and vzw did this…ive tried everything and it doesnt work..

  • Great tutorial… THANKS!!!!!!

  • I would take the battery out then restart. If that doesn’t call vz

  • if its not plugged in then how would it be mounted in the first place and the same exact thing keeps happening and how to you turn off the usb storage. it only pops up when its plugged in

  • You need to eject and UN- Mount The Phone First.
Plug it in. Go to cpu start>my computer>drive F?> Right Click> EJECT.
    Then unplug the phone.
Go to messages and shut off USB Storage and make sure the phone is UNMOUNTED.
    Restart phone.
    Thats it
You need to eject the device from your CPU 1st.
    Hope that helps

  • @DroidDummy Still the same thing happens i turned of my droid. and i started it back up. i went to settings and sd card. and it says the sd card was mounted. then i connected it to the computer and went and pressed usb connection and pressed mount and the same thing happened

  • Try to turn off phone &restart. Then go to sd card in settings. Find unmount and make sure the sd card is unmounted. Try plugging it in to CPU and remount.
    Hope that helps

  • Alright i got a big problem man.
