I think if the Ipod touch had a camera it would have hurt iphone sales, no one, except you, owns both of them. So now with Ipad, if you have an iphone, there is definately no reason to get a touch, camera or not. You would be better buying a real camera.
Since I predicted the Ipad correctly, I will use logic for a new prediction. A mouse…yep, when the ipad is in a dock it needs a mouse. Big prediction, let’s see if I am right this time.
@johnmonk66 I don’t know why they do things they do, I’m not sure if it’s a cost, technological, or marketing challenge. I have to respect them for making the right decisions considering their enormous success. I hate to think Apple is hobbling some of their devices just to funnel sale to their higher-margin products. The iPad is still a very different animal, not very portable and certainly not a music consumption device like an iPod.
The more I think about it, the more I wonder if Apple will add a camera to the ipod touch, it seems that will cut down on Ipad sales. If you have an Ipod touch that does everything an Ipad does, then why carry two of them? I think the iphone will be updated, maybe they will look into improving the camera on the nano, and the ipod touch will slowly fade away.
