Eee 1000HE Corsair 2GB Ram Install

Heres the ram install on my New Asus Eee 1000HE. Guys this little netbook is pretty sweet. I find myself using it on the couch, in bed, and while sitting on the porch. Now i know I could have done all these things with my Apple MacBook, but to do it in a 2 pound netbook, one handed, and not really treat it like a $2000.00 Laptop was and is a blast. I love using it and so does Amy (Her HP Mini 110-1025) So heres the ram I used so you know if you purchased this ram it will work with your 1000HE. tinyurl.com •Forthose who want to follow me on twitter and get any inside info, follow me here: twitter.com •For those that want to be made aware when I start a BlogTV, go to my YouTube Channel page and click the BlogTV Link and subscribe to me there for SMS text or twitter for show starting announcements.

  • hmmm, now the system details say 2gb but before when i did the F2 thing it only said 1gb…weird

  • …it didnt work for me but my eeepc still starts and still says it has only 1gb ram

  • you need to hold the “FN” button in the corner and whilst pressing F2.

  • man, why? you make youtube “manual” videos if you don’t know what to do exactly?

  • i have 4gigs of ram

  • @PleaseSubscribe321

but also, 64-bit consumes more resources and as a result ends up being slightly slower on the same resources as 32 bit.

e.g. win7 home premium 32 would run faster on 1GB than 64 bit would.

  • @CompTechExpert its running XP

but he’s got his taskbar on autohide i guess.

  • after i installed ddr2 2gb ram i was in heaven

  • hey buddy :) i love your videos and i just felt like i would make the effort to help you with the fact that not all your memory is showing up (just showing 1.99 gb) the reason is, is that there is a certain amount of memory re-routed to your Graphics processor or your os. basically if you would like you use the full 2 gigs you need to disable memory re-mapping so all the memory will be used for applications. hope this helped :)

  • how much is that Ram?

  • What OS is this running
    Great Video

  • Youca out any OS but to use the 4Gb ram you need a x64bits version

  • i- nice

  • Now I don’t have too bother my Brother-In-Law too install RAM for me! Thanks! Oh by the way, would you be able too do a video of how too install a HDD? Or would it take too long? If you can’t don’t worry about it! That’s what I got a Brother-In-Law for! Haha.

  • no it coud be anything cuz my old pc was f10 and now my new laptop is f2

  • no no its the 32bit that does not let more than 3.5gb but 64bit doe all mthe way

  • Can i use the:
    CORSAIR 4GB 200-Pin DDR2 SO-DIMM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Laptop Memory Model VS4GSDS800D2
even do WinXP only use 3GB, but i may be using Windows 7 ?????????

  • its different for different machines.

  • It will never show the full two because the os keeps percentage of the memory to work in the background… all memory are like that

  • i-girls jus wanna have fun

  • I- Small, Light, Portable, Perfect

  • I-cool

  • I- awesome

  • he’s talking about getting into the BIOS from the splash screen, not SAFE mode lol
