  • GREAT PRESENTATION! Wow, this is the 1st tutorial I’ve found completely understandable—& now I’m feeling hopeful @ repairing several troubled keys (this Dell XPS M1530 looks like your 1st example). Before viewing your video, I’d done what you suggested: removed another key/keycap to use as a guide. But then I had Yet Another key to repair, haha! Yea, I can laugh NOW but not yesterday when I tried that. So thanks lots. It’s very clear what I was doing wrong. Tomorrow I go at it again.

  • god bless… it was pretty useful… i saved lot of money… i was told by dell to replace the keyboard … but you saved it! i replaced it by myself….

  • I managed to put my full stop back, but it’s still how it was before I messed with it. I have to press much harder on it than other keys, so I decided to investigate, pulling out the key— bad mistake.

  • when mine came off the white piece at 3:30 came off with the key can this be fixed or replaced

  • heres my tut: 1. take key out, 2. line up black plunger with the center part of key and push down, done

  • Hi What happens if the actual clips on the plactis key itself has snapped ? Like at 2.46? One of the little slots things has snapped

  • This video didn’t directly help me, but it was watching this that pushed me into really doing. My L key if finally back after 3 months. I almost threw those little pieces away.

  • someone please help, i have a hp laptop and my arrow key come out, and when i put it back ints not on a “springy” like the others, its just setting there and you cant press it
