Sixth segment of ten looking at fallacious criticisms of Apple’s new iPad multitouch tablet computer. Daniel Eran Dilger of RoughDrafted Magazine: roughlydrafted.com
Heck even the HTC Evo has HDMI out and it’s a phone. You know those big things we call HDTVs that have HDMI inputs that all sorts of devices are starting to hook into which could make the iPad a -lot- more useful. Heck my Evo will work better as a media player in this regard (and in many other cases).
Proprietary cable. ooops… HP Slate has HDMI out and for the same memory 64gb is 100 cheaper. I have HDMI out on my laptop, on my tv I have HDMI in. On my projector I have Hdmi in. I would like to have my calibration software on a tablet. But wait let me expand this thought. I would like to be able to use all my equipment through HDMI and not have Apple make the decision of why I don’t want to use HDMI on the tablet. Apple is for people who do not want to make their own choices.
Very intelligently put. Although I have a few meaningless gripes with the iPad, your point of technological views are quickly knocking them down. The fact of the matter is, is that no one has actually held an iPad in their hands or let alone seen one in person. I think that many opinions will be matched in about 30 days. Let’s see.

the boombox comment was clever.
Thanks for the comment. Well, actually a few people have handled the iPad, including me. There was a hands on period after the initial press keynote.
