@tubitician So, from the side, I can see two holes in the TV-tuner. A round one and an rectangle-shaped one. The coaxial can’t get in one of these directly. Should there be a cable between them, and if so, which?

You need the little cable that you can see in the video that handles audio and video via rCA connections. You need a cable to go from the back of the TV to the little connector cable that attaches to the tuner card. I have a6 foot cable I can kick in free from GetAdapters, but i don’t have anything longer. Thanks for watching. JR
So, the analog cable that you’d normally put in the back of your TV, can’t be stuck directly into the HP Digital/Analog TV-Tuner, right? It does need sort of a transition cable, doesn’t it? Thanks in advance for your response

Yes, it definitely works with the dv6 models as long as the DV6 is running Windows Vista or Windows 7 operating system. The GetAdapters website has the tuner with different options and you get free extras too. JR

can we get digital signal with this card??? it only picks up analog???

No. you just need to have a laptop with an expresscard 54 slot, running Vista or Windows 7; and then it will pick up analog or digital TV signals for free out of the air using the antenna you can get with the card from GetAdapters. JR

Hi. It will work in Jamaica but the laptop needs an expressacrd 54 slot. and I don’t think the Acer you have has that interface slot.

its usualy whatever rabbit ears can pick up. usually local news nothing too good. depends on the area. I would say probably not
Can you watch channels like cartoon network, nickolodean with a tv tuner even if you dont have cable (like direct tv etc)
Yes, it will work with xbox, but you have to have vista or windows 7. It won’t work with the media center that came with XP, unless you have the very last version that came out just before Vista; it’s called Windows Media Center 2005. It only came out for a couple months at Christmas 2007 because they didn’t have Vista ready for Christmas on time.
