Installing The Windows Moodle Package


Did you know you can download an all-in-one Windows package of Moodle? This is great if you just wish to explore Moodle on your laptop, home PC or across a trusted network. This video takes you through installing the 1.5.4+ Windows package on to your home computer. You will see how simple it is to install and you could have Moodle up and running on your network in less than 5 minutes. Please note that this video accepts the default settings during the installation procedure and as a result the MySQL database is not password protected. Please see the readme file when you download the Installation Package zip from moodle.org for the server configuration options.     I was successful installing Moodle following your steps in the video and it worked when I was in Finland for a moment. When I came to Vietnam, it is not working anymore. Could you please tell me how I can run an actual course? Regarding the domain name, should I buy the domain name and hosting service for the website? If yes, which one do you recommend? Thanks a lot for your help.
