  • The strength of the original adhesive will vary.

  • Just fixed mine. Thanks! Only catch is the Apple glue is much more difficult to remove than on this video.

  • Part Number XX2240 at DirectFix com

  • are you still selling the philips screw driver? i cant find it

  • Do not use glue you will damage the phone. You need to goto DirectFix and order Part# 822-4034.

  • i just got the new touch panelscreen, i didnt get the adhesive for the repair… can i use somethin different instead?
    .. i.e liquid glue?

  • Since every heat gun and blow dryer is different I would start with the low setting and work your way up slowly until you are able to get the touch panel off. Be careful not to melt anything. Also do not leave the heat on any one location for to long. Keep it moving around.

  • What temperature do I set the heat gun to in order to melt the glue that holds the glass touch panel in place without melting anything else?

  • great video! helped installing mine a lot!

a couple tips, make sure you get ALL the old adhesive out, and make sure to wipe off the actual LCD when it’s apart, i accidentally left a finger print on mine..d’oh

  • I ordered the parts and tools and followed the video instructions. I was able to successfully repair my iPhone. Great parts, and great video.

  • Hi there! Thanks for that video. Just fixed my iPhone with your video. I feel so good right now. If you ever come to Austria, we’ll go for some beers. THX!

  • You need it. Goto DirectFix(dot)com and read the description on part# 822-4034

  • Just wondering whats an adhesive kit
i am going to take apart my iphone

    Do i really need it?

  • The only way to guarantee that the touch panel will stay on the frame is with the adhesive kit. When you go into the details of the Touch Panel you purchase from DirectFix(dot)com we list all the parts and tools needed and the 822-4034 is listed for the adhesive kit.

  • Is there a way to get around buying an adhesive kit Ive waited forever for the digitizer now I have to order a adhesive kit? is there some other kind of glue?
