LG 23” 1080p HD Monitor Unboxing
In this video, I will be unboxing my new LG 23″ LCD HD Monitor. I got it on sale at Best Buy for ~$235. I bought the Black Tie Plan, so after tax it was $311. So far it’s an awesome screen! Xbox 360 looks great, and the picture from my 13″ MacBook Pro is great as well.

hey, i’m looking for a new monitor that has component in, and a website said this monitor had it, but i couldn’t tell from your video if those inputs (VGA/DVI/HDMI) were the only ones or if the component was on the other side of the stand (which you didn’t show).
I bought this same exact monitor a few months ago. Played my PS3 on it with HDMI and it looked very nice in 1080p. But compared to my Panasonic Viera 42 inch plasma, it looked really dull. The difference is like night and day, but the LG monitor gets the job done at the expense of slightly duller colors.
If I have a HD video file and player it on a LCD moniter, Will it have same quality as a HD moniter?
hey dude ive hooked up my xbox 360 to my viewsonic 22 inch monitor via a dvi to hdmi cable. I have one main problem… it says it isnt supported in 50 hz? i’ve checked the settings on my monitor and it says it runs at 60 hz for 1680×1050 resoloution. It still lets me play games but i get so much flickering and it’s really annoying…
@huskermania im not sure about this but, dont glossy screens hurt your eyes or something? like crt screens? and arent there any reflections? so i guess thats a bad thing?
I’m so getting that I h8 my HD tv it’s 32inch but it’s a different type of screen it’s also 1080p but still I like dolby and lg TVs the most
One question… I’m new on these monitors, so… how you turn it on? Touching the frame or the transparent line?
reconmend this for a laptop? this lcd looks sweet
@BenMightBeWrong You might be wrong ben, 1080p hdtv’s usualy have better dynamic contrast ratio’s, so there is a visible difference

Just for the record, the difference between 1080p and 720p is not visible by the human eye on screens smaller then 42″.
can i connect a ps3 or a 360 with this?
I feel it to bro. Its not just the plastic its the feeling of having 1080p

on board video doesn’t support full 1920×1080. The max it goes to is 1600×900 i believe. So you need a x16 GPU like an cheap 8400 GS or 4350.
i want to purchase a HD monitor for my pc, but what i need to know is that would i need to change my video card because i have an onboard card, i think, and if so, what else would i need, i have a dell dimension 3100c so im not too sure what ill need, any help would be nice..thanks.
Pretty much the same to be honest the 63v has a slightly better contrast ratio 70000-1 compared to the 61v’s 50000-1 but thats dynamic contrast ratio, The static contrast ratio the “real one ” is 1000-1 on both but the 63v comes wih built in speakers.
