oh really ? I’m happy to be wrong because I was considering this camera but I didnt buy it for the reasons above (a sony guy at a shop told me that…). I can’t come to Midtown, I’m in Italy eheh but thanks for the information you genlty wrote me.
Do You know where I can download a pdf user manual of that camera to learn all the features ?
@robbiethehood
wow robbie, you’re totally wrong. the iris, shutter, and gain are ALL adjustable. there are also built-in ND filters. there is also electronic compensation for the wide-angle lens’ chromatic aberration, it’s a simple menu setting.
come on in to midtown and we’ll help you get educated.
there are no professional setting adjustable ( aperture… shutter.. gain… ND filters…), lens is not wide, wide adaptor makes a lot of chromatic abberration… this is simply a habdycam reboxed ….
I ve seen its review on CVP. Its awesome.
But i m a afraid that the sensor inside is 1/5″ thats not native Full HD.
If its a bigger sensor then its amazing how they fitted it in but still i think its a 1/5″
@jessemillerman
I did that, there is only a brochure.
robbie: instruction manual available here:
go to sony’s pro website, search for model number hxr-mc1
then click on the resources tab

It’s good, but I wouldn’t pay £1500 for it.
wait this is digital.. not film right?
Same guts as the Sony HDV camcorders. Vibration will eat it alive. No good for cars, planes etc. Been there.
thanks BH
Ever seen HD in a smaller package?
Sure, VholdR ContourHD.
Not all the features, but also 10% the price.
I need to win powerball so I can afford the top end stuff like this.
Great review, BTW.
Whole package is $2,995.00. comes with everything you need except the memory stick pro duo card
