IPHONE ON VERIZON 4G NETWORK??

www.huffingtonpost.com So, the iPhone could go to Verizon, really, the question is, which one? We may not see the iPhone 4 go to Verizon, but maybe the next one? Maybe we will see an iPhone 4G, an iPhone 4GS, who knows? It would be pretty cool it AT&T got a 4G network soon! (HINT HINT) So, what is 4G? Well, you may be familiar with 3G, the current major cellular signal used. So, 4G is just 3G, with some added boost! At blazing speeds, 4G is a great upgrade! Out it the streets, we may be able to see speeds at about 4 to 5 MB/s, which is amazing! This is the speed of some Wifi networks! If AT&T or Verizon launched 4G right now, the iPhone 4 would NOT be able to use it. Apple would have to make specialized iPhones, because the current ones are for AT&T’s 3G network. The nomenclature of the generations generally refers to a change in the fundamental nature of the service, non-backwards compatible transmission technology and new frequency bands. The first was the move from 1981 analog (1G) to digital (2G) transmission in 1992. This was followed, in 2002, by 3G multi-media support, spread spectrum transmission and at least 200 kbit/s, soon expected to be followed by 4G, which refers to all-IP packet-switched networks, mobile ultra-broadband (gigabit speed) access and multi-carrier
